Dating is a wonderful thing, if you’re planning to invite Chinese girl/men to a date, then the Chinese phrases for dating below could make you more attractive in the dating pool, even if you’re not good-looking.

Ask for a Date

It's really a tragedy if you get turned down when ask Chinese out on a date just because they don’t know what you mean (especially those people prefer to invite others in an indirect way). Therefore, asking for a date in Chinese will be necessary.

The most direct way:
你能和我约会吗?(nǐ néng hé wǒ yuē huì ma?)

Do you want to go out with me?

Carefully guarded ways:

Are you free tonight?

Would you like to have a dinner with me?
我们出去走走可以吗?(wǒ men chū qù zǒu zǒu kě yǐ ma?)

Can we go out for a walk?

Going to a romantic restaurant to taste delicious food is the most common thing Chinese people would do on a first date. Ordering dishes for her would make you like a gentleman, you could ask her like that “你想要…吗?nǐ xiǎng yào …ma? (Would you like…?)”. Check out the complete guide to order food in Chinese.

Soften with compliments is able to make the dating more romantic:

If you are not in the relationship with a boyfriend or girlfriend, then I think you’re likely want to bare your heart during the dating. Sometimes, Chinese people accept the dinner invitation just because they thought it was a simple dinner with love feelings. In order to avoid embarrassment, you’d better figure out their status before confession:
你有男朋友/女朋友吗?(nǐ yǒu nán péng yǒu /nǚ péng yǒu ma?)

Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?

Telling the person you like him or her instantly when get a negative response:
我爱你。(wǒ ài nǐ.)

I love you.
(wǒ hěn xǐ huān nǐ.)

I like you very much.

A further step:

Can you be my girlfriend/boyfriend?

If you want to propose marriage to your girlfriend during the dating, then ask her like this:
你愿意嫁给我吗?(nǐ yuàn yì jià gěi wǒ ma?)

Will you marry me?

At the end of a date

Being a gentleman, you should proactive escort her home at the end of a date. Out of politeness, ask her permission first:
我可以送你回家吗?(wǒ kě yǐ sòng nǐ huí jiā ma)

May I see your home?

With her consent, you can also hug(拥抱yōng bào) her and kiss(吻 wěn) her.

If successful, I strongly recommend you continue to learn daily Chinese which could improve your relationship. Hope you have a sweet date!
